In Between

An exhibition growing from encounters and shared drawing. Xingming Li’s works are shown alongside those of other participating creators.

The exhibition began with two conversations in cafés. A chance meeting led to weekly drawing sessions with two children. We found that the drawings were not simply the outcome of teaching, but expressions growing naturally from shared time and space.
A later conversation with Yue Gallery’s Yue Tu strengthened the sense that artworks can bring people into contact with one another’s inner lives. The exhibition became a place for dialogue: my work appears alongside that of the children, my partner, and other participants, with each authorship kept distinct.
